Pyromaniacs are those obsessed with starting fires—but also those who watch them burn with hungry eyes. They say we all have a pyromaniac inside us. So, what kind of pyromaniac are you? One who watches or one who lights the match? Pyromaniacs presents a mosaic of wounded—and wounding—human natures in a rural landscape constantly on the brink of ignition.
Synopsis
Àngel is a young man struggling to cope with his new reality as a tetraplegic. He spends his days shut in at home, bingeing series on his laptop. His sexual desire remains intact, but with his hands immobilized, he can’t even manage a sad little wank. The only person who can help him is his mother, who does everything for her beloved son.
Anna and Francesc want to get married and start a family—until one day they discover they both suffer from a serious illness, and their dreams begin to fall apart. At Can Campdepadrós, there’s a secret: their daughter is a pyromaniac. Twenty years later, they’ve decided to tell their story on the national public television’s telethon on mental illness. They are the pyromaniacs.
